Getting Started
What is MAiTRAX?
MAiTRAX is an AI-powered music creation platform that combines music generation, recording, audio and MIDI editing, mixing, mastering, and intelligent production tools in one browser-based studio.
Do I need music production experience?
No. MAiTRAX is designed for beginners, artists, songwriters, musicians, content creators, and experienced producers.
Do I need to install anything?
No. MAiTRAX runs in a supported web browser.
Creating and Editing
Can I upload my own audio?
Yes. You can upload vocals, instrumentals, loops, samples, audio files, and MIDI files to use in your projects.
Can I edit audio and MIDI?
Yes. MAiTRAX includes tools for trimming, splitting, moving, duplicating, fading, time stretching, transposing, and editing MIDI notes.
Can I export my music?
Yes. Available export formats and options depend on the project and subscription plan.
AI Features
What can MAiTRAX AI tools help me do?
MAiTRAX can help create music, suggest ideas, generate parts, answer production questions, assist with editing, and guide you through the Studio.
Can MAiTRAX separate stems?
Yes. You can separate compatible audio into vocals, drums, bass, and other musical elements. Results may vary depending on the source audio.
Recording and Audio
Can I record vocals or instruments?
Yes. Create a recording track, select your microphone or audio input, enable browser permission, and press Record.
Why isn't my microphone working?
Confirm microphone access is enabled, the correct input is selected, the track is armed, and another application is not using the microphone.
Billing and Account
How do I reset my password?
Use the Forgot Password option on the sign-in screen and follow the instructions sent to your email address.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes. Paid subscriptions can be managed or canceled from the account or billing settings.
What happens when I run out of credits?
Some AI features will remain unavailable until credits reset, additional credits are added, or the account is upgraded.
Troubleshooting
Why did my AI generation fail?
A generation may fail because of a temporary connection issue, high demand, unsupported input, or insufficient credits. Try again and contact support if the problem continues.
Why can't I hear audio?
Check device volume, browser audio permissions, track mute and solo controls, master output level, and the selected audio device.
Does MAiTRAX automatically save my projects?
MAiTRAX automatically saves project changes while you work. Allow saving to complete before closing the browser or leaving a project.
Rights and Privacy
Who owns the music I create?
Ownership and usage rights depend on the MAiTRAX Terms of Service, your subscription, and any applicable AI service terms.
Is my music private?
Projects are private by default, subject to the MAiTRAX Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, sharing settings, and services required to process requested features.
